Supporting conversations that inspire positive change for mental health in Calgary.
In order for us to get to know, learn about, and gain understanding about the work being done - we need to talk to the people (YOU!) doing the work!
About the Presenters
The Perlin Foundation for Wellbeing (PFW) began with the aim of using art and culture to present education, blended with entertainment, to facilitate a deeper understanding of how our brain and body works together. Specifically around how we receive and process data via cognition and emotion, to generate a sense of wellbeing. Their Festival Project is a strategy to bring an annual festival to Calgary that celebrates mental health, mental wellness, and those affected by mental illness by 2025-27.
About the Event
Do you work for a charity, non profit, for profit, or government program that works to improve or support mental health, mental wellness, or mental illness? Want to contribute to a directory of services and programs serving these needs? Want us to keep you informed as we progress in Festival planning? You can get involved by joining PFW for their Preparatory Webinar in October and Town Hall in November.
This preparatory webinar is to prepare attendees for the mental health Town Hall happening November 19, 2020. This webinar will provide you with the right information so that can empower your organization during this difficult time. By preparing in advance, your answers will be much more meaningful to support partnerships and collaborations that can make a real difference in your world, as well as those engaging with your services.
This hour-long presentation is to support attendees who will be joining us for the Town Hall in November for a Report to the Community from Nancy Mannix, and then a series of designed thinking sessions with skilled facilitators, meant to support the work being done to enable awareness of potential partnerships that may have been previously unrecognized. We aim to craft a safe space for questions, understanding, and community-building.
Our agenda is as follows:
12:00PM: Welcome/Housekeeping
12:05PM: About the Foundation & the Festival Project
12:20PM: About the Town Hall & Report to the Community from Nancy Mannix
12:25PM: How to Prepare for the 5 Rounds
12:40PM: Question & Answer Time
12:55PM: Partner Announcements & Webinar End
